Candida albicans is a fungal yeast infection that causes fungal nail infections, athlete’s foot, thrush, vaginal candidiasis, tinea cruris and various fungal infections. Chronic fatigue, depression, foggy thinking, abdominal cramps, bloating, insomnia, moodiness, and sore joints are symptoms of infection. Thrush is a fungal yeast infection

Candidiasis or thrush is a fungal yeast infection caused by candida albicans. Thrush grows on skin, in the mouth, the gastrointestinal tract and gut. Lactobacillus, a bacterium that helps to balance the yeasts in the body, lines the gut with a substantial number of bacteria that are important to health. Lactobacilli are excellent for gut health because they produce lactic acid, a substance that prevents unhealthy bacteria from colonizing the intestines.

When you have an imbalance of lactobacillus bacteria because of antibiotics for instance, it could cause yeast infections on your skin, or in your mouth. When thrush yeast organisms increase, it causes pain, inflammation, and itchiness.
