ANISEED PURE ESSENTIAL OIL

Pimpinella anisum

Aniseed is an aromatic plant with oval green leaves and umbels of white flowers that bloom in the summer months, followed by seeds that are slightly curved with a liquorice aroma. The aromatic leaves and stems could be used as you would herbs and have a taste similar to liquorice, fennel or tarragon.  The seeds and leaves are steam distilled for an oil that is sweet, mild, and soft yet bold because of its liquorice balsamic, woody undertones.

The aroma calms and soothes nerves, and stress. Aniseed essential oil works effectively to soothe joint and muscle pain, making it a stunning oil for arthritis, rheumatism, or rheumatoid arthritis. It has strong antiseptic substances for the cleansing of scrapes, sores, and scuffs. The expectorant actions make it excellent for hard, dry coughs, bronchitis, flu, and colds.  It calms respiratory tightness in steam inhalation or diffused for its soothing vapours.
