Eucalyptus radiata

This striking Eucalyptus has a beautiful peeling bark of grey umber and delicate clusters of white flowers in the summer months. It forms a dense canopy of narrow dark green aromatic camphorous leaves. Eucalyptus radiata essential oil is steam distilled from the fresh leaves and twigs to produce an oil that is fresh, invigorating, camphorous, sweet and fruity.  Eucalyptus radiata is softer in aroma and not as camphorous when used for sinus, phlegm, coughs, sore throats and colds, particularly with older people and children.  Radiata is known to be effective for asthma.

The merits of this oil

Strong disinfectant:  A strong disinfectant, Radiata is an excellent anti-septic that accelerates healing to sores and scrapes. It is used in skin products and lotions to calm skin infections. 

Fibromyalgia:  This oil has therapeutic actions to calm the symptoms of fibromyalgia such as blood circulation, fatigue, sore muscles and sore joints.
