Helichrysum bracteiferum

Helichrysum is a shrubby evergreen plant with striking flowers that grows naturally in the summer rain areas of Southern Africa and other parts of the world.  Its habitat is rocky slopes, forest margins, streams and mountain slopes. The flowers and leaves are steam distilled for an oil that is fresh, herbaceous and camphorous. Bracteiferum is the rarest variety of Helichrysum and unique for its humulene and caryophyllene substances that are so effective for respiratory infections, immunity, blood clots and inflammation, besides its effectiveness for a variety of microbial and parasitic infections. Helichrysum is excellent for respiratory infections and unclogs phlegm in chronic coughs, bronchitis, sinus infections, asthma and colds. It is an excellent skin tonic with antioxidant actions that freshen and rejuvenate skin, improving eczema, dermatitis, scars, and ageing skin.
