Hypericum perforatum

Hypericum is a soft, sprawling, leafy shrub with light green leaves that are covered in translucent oil glands, the flowers having oil glands on the margins of their bright yellow flowers.  It produces an essential oil with a mild aroma, obtained through steam distillation of the flowers and leaves. This oil is recommended for its excellent anti-depressant actions to lift depression and calm the mind of stress. It is an excellent anti-viral and anti-inflammatory for the healing of mild scalds and inflammation. Hypericum is excellent for hemorrhoids, nerve related pain and varicose veins.

The merits of this oil
