LEMON PURE ESSENTIAL OIL

The lemon tree has glossy green leaves and white aromatic blossoms that are followed by bright yellow lemon fruits.  Lemon essential oil is cold pressed from the fresh rind to make an oil that smells of fresh lemons – lemony, clean, sweet and light.  With its lemony sweetness, Lemon essential oil is an anti-depressant that brightens and lightens the mind, calms stress and improves alertness. Lemon essential oil purifies and detoxes the bloodstream by flushing toxins through urine when massaged on skin.

The merits of this oil

Anti-allergenic skin healer:  Lemon is an excellent anti-inflammatory for soothing the inflammation of allergic reactions on skin. With healing substances that are anti-fungal, ant-bacterial, and anti-septic, this oil inhibits the bacteria that cause itching skin.

Anti-itching scalp blend:  This is an excellent anti-itching blend for an itching scalp:  Blend a couple of drops each of Lemon, Peppermint and Lavender essential oils diluted in Sweet Almond oil and gently massage into your scalp. When the oil has saturated your scalp for a while, wash your scalp and hair with a calming hair wash.

Snoring and sleep apnoea:  In a study to develop an oil blend that could calm snoring, Lemon, Peppermint, Lavender and Thyme essential oils were shown to prevent snoring significantly.
