Commiphora myrrha is a tree with knotted branches, aromatic leaves and white flowers. A warm, slightly earthy essential oil is steam distilled from the harvested resin of the tree. The oil is light yellow to orange in colour and is used as a fixative in aromatic blends and perfumes. Myrrh essential oil is a strong anti-viral and anti-bacterial that calms respiratory ailments.
