Ravensara anisata

Ravensara Anisata is a tall tree that grows in humid rainforests with a bark of grey and aromatic glossy green leaves with greenish flowers. Two essential oils are obtained from this one tree – the bark and twigs produce Ravensara Anisata and the leaves produce Ravensara Aromatica.  Anisata is steam distilled from the bark and twigs to produce an oil with soft anise notes and herbaceous sweet tones. The uplifting aroma and therapeutic actions make this an excellent brain and nerve tonic that is very effective for depression, mind fatigue, lethargic attitudes and memory. It has strong anti-viral actions to heal respiratory infections, also unclogging respiratory tracts to make an excellent decongestant for bronchitis.
