Tarragon is a woody perennial herb with narrow aromatic green leaves and stems of yellow flower-heads that grow naturally in meadows and bloom in the summer months. The leaves and twigs are steam distilled for an essential oil that is rich, spicy and woody with wispy notes of anise.
