Vetiveria zizanoides
Vetiveria zizanoides is a type of bunching grass that’s grown mainly for its fibrous roots to prevent the eroding of soil. It is also grown to make a therapeutic pure essential oil. The aromatic fibrous roots are steam distilled for an oil that is grounding, earthy, woody and exceptionally calming to the mind, the reason it’s known as the oil of tranquillity.
