The Mongongo is a large, spreading, dioecious tree from the subtropical regions of Southern Africa. It has sweet tasting nut-seeds that are rich in protein, minerals, and fatty acids. Mongongo Oil is cold pressed from the nuts to make a rich golden oil with a unique fatty acid named a-eleostearic acid. It also has linoleic, oleic, and linolenic unsaturated fatty acids with Vitamin E tocopherols that are excellent for ageing, dry skin or dry, brittle, frizzy hair.
