THE BASE OILS

 

ARNICA OIL – Arnica Montana 

Arnica is a strong anti-inflammatory pain calming oil for sprains and muscle spasms. It is an analgesic oil that calm bursitis, sprains, phlebitis, and arthritis.

CASTOR OIL – Ricinus Communis 

Castor Oil calms the pain of arthritis, gout and the joint pain of bursitis. Ingesting Castor Oil calms arthritis. It could also calm back pain and sciatica.

BORAGE OIL – Borago officinalis

Borage Oil is rich in gamma linoleic acid and one of the richest known sources of essential fatty acids. Gamma linoleic acid makes Borage an excellent natural remedy for rheumatoid arthritis and bursitis. It is excellent for joint pain and the inflammation of rheumatoid arthritis. The strong anti-inflammatory actions are the result of gamma linoleic acid. Borage Oil calms pain and inflammation, to improve joint flexibility.

ARTEMISIA – Artemisia afra

LAVENDER – Lavandula angustifolia

ROSEMARY – Rosemary officinalis

Rosemary is excellent for headaches, muscle pains, sore joints, sprains, pulled muscles, rheumatism, arthritis, and bursitis. It calms pain immediately when massaged on the area of pain. Rosemary is an excellent anti-inflammatory for sore muscles and inflammation.

WINTERGREEN – Gaultheria procumbens

Wintergreen has two significant substances, menthyl salicylate and gaultherilene. They are excellent for the pain of arthritis, and muscle and joint pain.  Menthyl salicylate is the main ingredient in aspirin. Wintergreen is a strong analgesic that calms rheumatism, arthritis, gout, and joint pain, increasing blood circulation to the area of pain.

BURSAE CALM 

CALENDULA – Calendula officinalis

Calendula is an excellent anti-inflammatory oil with strong antioxidants for skin and inflammation. It is also an excellent pain calming oil for arthritis, gout, and bursitis.

HELICHRYSUM – Helichrysum bracteiferum

Helichrysum is a pain calming oil for muscular aches and the pain of fibromyalgia, making it excellent also for bursitis. It has anti-inflammatory, anti-spasmodic and antioxidant actions to calm muscle spasms, and the sore joints of bursitis and rheumatism.

LEMONGRASS – Cymbopogon citratus

Lemongrass is a nerve calming oil for stress. It has a bright, uplifting energy that improves focus. Lemongrass is excellent for exercise soreness and cramping muscles. It has strong anti-inflammatory analgesic actions for muscle pain, gout, and sore joints.

NEROLI – Citrus aurantium var. amara or var. bigaradia

Neroli is a calming analgesic oil that is excellent for arthritis. It calms the pain of tired feet and exercise soreness. Neroli is a strong anti-spasmodic and anti-inflammatory oil for muscular and joint pain. It is an exceptionally calming oil for depression, stress, and nerves. 

OREGANO – Origanum vulgare

Oregano essential oil is an excellent pain calming anti-inflammatory oil for massage, particularly for bursitis, arthritis, rheumatism, and gout. 

JOINT CALM 

CINNAMON LEAF – Cinnamomum verum

Cinnamon Leaf is an energising oil for pain because of eugenol. It is an excellent analgesic for any pain. The anti-spasmodic actions calm tight muscles. Cinnamon Leaf calms sore exercised muscles and joints.  

CLOVE BUD – Syzygium aromaticum

Clove Bud oil is a pain calming oil for sore joints and exercised muscles. It calms inflammation, and increases circulation to improve metabolism, blood circulation and oxygen.

EUCALYPTUS SMITHII – Eucalyptus smithii

Eucalyptus smithii essential oil is a strong anti-inflammatory analgesic for joint inflammation and pain.

PEPPERMINT – Mentha piperita

Peppermint essential oil is an excellent analgesic for muscular and joint pain.  It is a strong anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and anti-viral oil that strengthens immunity. It is excellent for stress, depression, anxiety, exhaustion and energises fatigue. It stimulates brain activity and focus.
