THE BASE OILS

SWEET ALMOND OIL – Prunus dulcis

Rich in vitamin E, monounsaturated fatty acids, proteins, potassium and zinc, Sweet Almond improves skin tone and makes it glow. It is a pleasant massage oil for diluting with pure essential oils.

EVENING PRIMROSE OIL – Oenothera biennis

This oil calms PMS symptoms, premenstrual breast sensitivity, bloating, cramps, moodiness, and headaches.  Evening Primrose Oil is also effective for the menopause and is very effective for fibrocystic breasts.

SERENE CALM PURE ESSENTIAL OILS 

ARTEMISIA AFRAArtemisia afra

A uterine and womb tonic, Artemisia soothes the pain of irregular or obstructed menstruation. It has excellent analgesic actions for menstrual pain. Include this oil in massage blends to soothe and calm menstrual pain when massaged on the stomach. It is excellent for menopausal symptoms with analgesic pain calming actions.

CLARY SAGE – Salvia sclarea

Clary sage is excellent for women’s health. The natural phytoestrogens in this oil improve hormone balance for healthy ovaries and uterus. It is an excellent tonic for women’s hormonal health. Clary Sage calms stress, menstrual cramping, regulates the female reproductive system and oestrogen for uterine health. 

BLUE CHAMOMILE – Matricaria recutita 

An excellent oil for PMS, menstrual cramping, and menopausal issues. Blue Chamomile calms the pain of migraines, headaches, and menstrual cramping. Blend a couple of drops with Sweet Almond Oil to massage on your stomach. A calming oil for stress, Blue Chamomile is excellent for menstruation and menopause.

FENNEL – Foeniculum vulgare

Fennel stimulates oestrogen production and lightens premenstrual symptoms. It is excellent for menopause and has hormone balancing actions to calm or prevent hot flushes. Fennel is very effective for pain and menstrual cramping. It naturally improves emotional equilibrium and calms stress, insomnia, and nerves.   

ROSE GERANIUM – Pelargonium graveolens

This oil calms PMS symptoms, pain and inflammation. It has diuretic actions to flush toxins through urine. Rose Geranium is particularly calming for the nervous system. It calms depression, anxiety, and stress.  

LABDANUM – Cistus ladaniferus

This emmenagogue regulates the hormones affecting menstruation such as irregular menstruation and PMS. Massage a couple of drops blended with Sweet Almond Oil on your stomach to begin menstruating if you have irregular menstruation issues. Labdanum is a calming oil for stress. It has analgesic actions to calm menstrual cramping.

LAVENDER – Lavandula angustifolia

Lavender is excellent for menstrual cramping, PMS and nerves.  It improves moodiness and brain fog. Labdanum has two main substances named linalyl acetate and linalool that are absorbed into the skin when massaged or when diffused into the air to calm the nervous system, lifting stress and anxiety. Lavender is an excellent pain calming oil for headaches. 

PALMAROSA – martinii

Palmarosa is excellent for pain and inflammation when massaged. It has a calming aroma that is excellent for insomnia, depression, stress and energises fatigue. A brain energising oil, Palmarosa quells exhaustion. It also calms muscle pain, including stress and nerves.

PEPPERMINT – Mentha piperita

This fresh aromatic is excellent for depression, anxiety, stress, exhaustion, and nerves. It calms the mind and energises fatigue. Peppermint stimulates brain activity and focus. It is a strong analgesic for headaches with actions similar to those of 1,000 mg of acetaminophen, without the side effects.

YLANG-YLANG – Cananga odorata

Ylang-Ylang is a calming and energising oil with actions that brighten the mind. It is excellent for depression, stress, and nerves. The mild calmative actions and uplifting aroma are excellent for insomnia.  Ylang-Ylang calms blood pressure in stress responses to cortisol levels when blended with Lavender and Bergamot essential oils.
