The essential oil is steam distilled from the fresh leaves and twigs. It has a sulphurous, green, cool camphoraceous, sweet, fruity, berry, slight dank aroma.

An excellent diuretic, anti-septic disinfectant for urinary tract bladder infections, gas, indigestion, arthritis, rheumatism and gout. It is used therapeutically in steam inhalation and massage blends for pain.

Information Buchu Crenulata Essential Oil

Description

In times past, Buchu was used for inflammation, a diuretic and stomach tonic and for kidney and urinary tract infections. It has gas-calming actions, and is used for cystitis, urethritis, prostatitis, and gout. It is also used for leukorrhea and yeast infections. Both Betulina and Crenulata have antiseptic, diuretic, anti-spasmodic and anti-inflammatory actions for the stomach, flatulence, indigestion, kidney and bladder infections, backache, detoxing for rheumatism and arthritis, insect repellent, anti-septic for coughs, colds, and scuffs.
